Description

The Alumni Advisor will be responsible for conducting brief advisory sessions with prospective students to help them learn more about Codesmith and prepare for the Software Engineering Immersive. The purpose of the Alumni Advisor is to provide additional support to people who are interested in applying to Codesmith’s programs and guide them in their software engineering journeys. This position will work closely with the Content & Community team.

Responsibilities 

• Conduct alumni advisor calls and advise potential students about their preparation process
• Effectively communicate Codesmith values and honestly relay the Codesmith experience before, during, and after the program
• Keep up to date on Codesmith’s programs and processes
• Take notes about the calls and loop in other team members when required
• Correspond with potential students after alumni advisor calls

Experience

• Graduate of Codesmith’s Software Engineering Immersive 
• Currently working as a software engineer

Location 

100% Remote, candidate must be based in the US

Salary

$25.00 per hour, 5-10 hour a week commitment
